It is mainly located in Wyoming although it extends into Idaho and Montana. The park is popular for its varied wild life and eco systems. Yellowstone is flooded with various lakes, rivers, canyon and mountain ranges. The yellow lake in the national park has a geographic importance; it is among on of the high-altitude lakes in North America.

The park has the most undisturbed ecosystem with hundreds of species of reptiles, mammals, fish, and birds. In Yellowstone national park you can even find some of the rarest species on the face of earth. There will be forest fires every year in the park, which is an issue that concerns man people. The worst forest fire occurred in the year 1988; about 1/3rd of the forest was burnt.
